Koinonia Hybrid Academy
KOINONIA
The Greek word koinonia (koy-noh-NEE-uh) means fellowship and communion, especially in a spiritual sense. It denotes joint participation and a partnership ordered toward a common goal. The word koinonia appears several times in the original Greek text of the New Testament, including in Acts 2:42: “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Koinonia describes the Body of Christ—the Church as a whole—particularly in the Church’s common goal of striving toward Heaven together through discipleship and communion.
At Koinonia Hybrid Academy, our hope is to elevate and support the domestic church through partnering with parents in their beautiful vocation of educating and forming their children. Our partnership with parents is ordered toward the common goal of forming children to be lifelong learners and disciples of Jesus Christ.

Opening Fall 2025
Koinonia Hybrid Academy is a hybrid academy rooted in the Catholic tradition in Nashville, TN opening for the 2025-2026 school year. We will meet in person on Mondays and Thursdays in a setting similar to a Catholic school, and families will follow our provided lesson plans on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to homeschool. We will enroll students in Pre-K3 through 8th grade in the 2025-2026 school year but hope to add high school in the future. Sign up for email updates to stay up to date with the latest developments.
